Ms V N Maya, started her career as an Advocate, practising in Madras High Court since1990 and thereafter joined Indian Bank as Scale I Legal Officer in the year 1995.  Now, after completing 28 years of active service, she is Chief General Manager, handling Recovery and Legal.

On academic front, she has completed M.L.(Contracts), M.L.(Labour Laws), CAIIB and Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights.  She is also an Alumni of IIM Bangalore, for having completed the Leadership Development Programme in co-ordination with IBA and Banks Board Bureau.

She has the rich experience of having handled several complicated legal cases independently before the Supreme Court, High Courts and DRTs.  She was associated in the amendments brought in SARFAESI Act during 2016 with Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Law and other eminent bankers.  She was a Member of Legal & Operations Committee of IBA during 2018-2020.

Being the Head of vital Departments Recovery /Legal Department, reached recovery targets, which has direct impact on profitability / Balance Sheet  of the Bank.
